A CREATIVe winter DISTRACTION!

Graphic design is an important tool that enhances how you communicate with other people. It serves to convey your ideas in a way that is not only effective, but also beautiful.

  • Every day your child will join a short online gathering hosted by design professional, Hannah Flint and other students. After each design lesson, the kids will have an opportunity to create a tangible or digital piece of work with prompts from the teacher.

  • Each following day, at the start of each class we will review our work together and give constructive feedback!

  • Camp participants should walk away from this experience feeling inspired to create, and with a better understanding of how design impacts the world around them.

  • Camp members will have the ability to message Hannah 24/7 throughout the 2 week period for advice, help or creative brainstorming sessions!

what will my child need for camp?

internet
access

Young Designers Camp is 100% hosted online, to keep your child and your family safe. We will meet every morning on an online video portal for about 30 minutes. Then your child will need to complete a design project on their own. We will review and show off our projects the following day.

camera (or phone camera)

We will be learning about photography and your child will need access to a camera for about 3 hours over the course of the 2 week period.

If you have trouble finding a camera for your child, please contact me and we can work something out!

a small journal for notes

We’ll be sketching and taking notes - a notebook or journal along with your favorite writing and drawing tools will be essential to successfully completing camp!
